What type of Spa Control System is this? What's in a name? First, because your spa control, underneath the spa that is, says "Hydro-Quip", "Gecko", "Len Gordon", "Brett Aqualine" or other trade name like that does NOT mean that it's the brand of the spa itself. Most of the nameplates underneath the spa are for the equipment manufacturers. The actual name brand of the manufacturer will be on a separate part of the spa itself. When trying to find parts, the name brand of the spa may be of secondary importance to the name of the equipment manufacturer. The equipment manufacturers are the ones that have the most standardized product offerings, and it is usually easier to work with parts re-sellers if you have that particular name, as opposed to the spa brand itself, unless it is one of the larger, more standardized manufacturers, such as Jacuzzi, Sundance, Dimension One, Cal Spas, etc. Digital System Spa Side Control will have buttons that look like something off of a calculator or other electronic device.  Usually has a digital temperature display, (but does NOT have long throw air buttons!). Temperature adjustment knob, if it has one, is very easy to turn, like a volume control on a radio. Otherwise, it will have push buttons for temperature adjustment, either one or two, to increase or decrease the temperature setting from the top of the spa. There will be an electronic circuit board in the contro/heater box. Standard Electro-Mechanical Air Control System Push buttons will push into a socket and have a rather long distance to travel.. usually in excess of 1/2" or more. It may have a digital temperature read out, which is typical of newer Len Gordon, or Tri-Delta (now Tek-Mark) spa side control systems. If there is no temperature adjustment on the spa side, and you only have air buttons on the top, then this is your type of spa control system. This type of system will have point to point wiring inside the control box, with no circuit boards. However, some Morgan spas, a small circuit board is used for multi-speed control of the blower. This is still an electro-mechanical spa control system. Hybrid System There are only a few of these types of systems in existence. The most recent, and most popular versions are usually made by Gatsby® Spas, now owned by Jacuzzi® Whirlpool. These controls will usually have an air spa side control, as talked about above, some may or may not have the digital spa temperature display. These spas are found in many showrooms under various name brands, such as White River, Gatsby, etc, and the discount versions of these spas can be found in larger home supply stores such as Home Depot or Lowes. Some older versions of Down East® spas had their own hybrid control, but were of a much different design.
