A
GFCI is an electrical device that is installed to prevent electrical shock
to the users of electrical appliances, in areas where water or moisture
is normally present, typically hot-tubs, spas, swimming pools, bathrooms
and kitchens.

|
The
National Electrical Code, Section 680 requires a GFCI to be installed on
all hot-tubs/spas.
